Hello, I’m Josh
A full-time wedding photographer and filmmaker living just outside of Portsmouth in Waterlooville with our rescue pup, Stan, and cat, Brie.
Being based in Hampshire doesn't mean that's the only place I work - I've been lucky enough to shoot weddings in amazing venues including Castle's in Kent and incredible stately homes in the Lake District, But saying that, some of my favourite weddings have been in back Gardens 5 minutes from where we live! It's all about the people, and the moments, not so much the place...
I am OBSESSED with documenting everything and anything in both stills and video with my cameras, I ALWAYS have a camera with me, and I never get tired of trying to get 1% better every day.
My passion started as a teenager capturing my friends skateboarding, later becoming obsessed with shooting live music which is how I caught the bug for capturing events as they happen even in the toughest of lighting conditions.
Years later I shot a friend’s birthday party, then a wedding, then friends of friends weddings, and I fell in love with capturing these big life moments and i’ve now been lucky enough to be capturing weddings for over 10 years (5 years full time!).
I absolutely love exploring the outdoors - coast, country-side, mountains or new cities (always with a camera).
When i’m not at weddings, you’ll probably find me…
Going to gigs but no longer participating in mosh pits (often)
attempting to get better at guitar
occasionally clinging onto a bouldering wall
devouring Neapolitan style pizza or smash burgers (although I do think Turkish cuisine is truly my favourite)
Planning trips to places like Cappadocia, Chamonix or Cornwall
Hiking on the coast path or around a nature reserve
Trying to make good coffee but struggling daily with Latte art
Internally debating what camera and lens’ to take for every possible scenario of an upcoming trip
My why…
My incredible wife, Mel, encouraged, believed and supported me in making the jump to capturing weddings on a full time / self employed basis in 2021.
Heartbreakingly, Mel passed away in 2025, 2 years after a Cancer diagnosis in 2023 shortly after our wedding.
To love Mel wholly and completely, knowing without question she felt the same depth of love back, has been the greatest privilege of my life. She made me a better person in so many respects, and encouraged and believed in me to follow my dreams.
It means more to me than anything, ever, to be able to document the love between two people fully committing to a life together and being able to look back at that moment through stills or a film.
Our pets
I absolutely adore our pets, so here’s little bit about them! I’m forever taking their pictures or filming them whether it’s on my phone or my ‘proper’ cameras.
If you’ve got pets, be sure to mention them in our calls - Bonus points if I get to meet them on your wedding day.
Stanny
A rescue from Cyprus, scared of his own shadow but has a heart of gold. LOVES chicken and doing zoomies in the autumn leaves. Scared of footballs and loud noises.
Deceivingly cute but equally vicious, tolerates humans and the dog. Not scared of ANYTHING. Brie
Like your suppliers!
Here’s a selfie of me and one of my couples (Faye & Oli) on their special day. I’d only met them once before the wedding but by the end of the ceremony and after whisking them away from their guests shortly for their couple shots, it honestly felt like we were lifelong friends!
As photographers and videographers, we spend a large portion of the day in close proximity to you - how you feel about us as a people is just as important as what you think of our work. that’s why I insist on meeting before sending over any booking details.
