A bit about me…
I’m Josh, a full-time wedding photographer and filmmaker living just outside of Portsmouth with my Wife Mel, and our dog Stan.
Being based in Hampshire doesn't mean that's the only place I work - I've been lucky enough to shoot weddings in amazing venues including Castle's in Manchester and Kent, and an incredible stately home in the Lake District! But saying that, some of my favourite weddings have been in back Gardens 5 minutes from where we live! It's all about the people, not so much the place...
When i’m not at weddings or at home geeking over cameras, I absolutely love exploring the coast, country-side or new cities.
Some of my favourite places i’ve visited include Cappadocia & Istanbul, Berlin, New York, Tolmin (Slovenia - absolutely beautiful!) and closer to home, Dorset (I love the Jurrasic coast!), the New Forest (walking in Burley), The Brecon Beacons (google the Elidir trail!), Cornwall, the lakes, and ofcourse snowdonia too. I’m a camera nerd through and through so i’m always capturing images of the places we go, or of the people i’m with!
Other things I love include seeing live music (dive bars, stadiums or festivals i’m happy!), playing guitar, finding the dirtiest burgers (it’s a tough call but my favourite’s so far are 7bone in Portsmouth and Hills in Wales) and most recently of all my hobbies indoor bouldering! I trained BJJ for a couple of years and would love to get back in to it.
This is a snap of me and one of my wedding couples (Faye & Oli). I’d only met them once before their big day but by the end of the ceremony and the portrait session it honestly felt like we were lifelong friends!
