Clock Barn Spring Wedding Photography // Emily & Rory

If you’re planning a wedding at Clock Barn in Whitchurch, you have to see this!

Emily and Rory chose to get married in March at Clock Barn - an idyllic barn venue in Hampshire with beautiful grounds and so many awesome locations and backdrops for photos. It was such a relaxed and fun day with the rain just about holding of for us to get some lovely shots outside and the awesome interiors of the buildings being perfect for pictures too!

Having a location where you can have the morning prep, ceremony and reception all in one place is an absolute dream and certainly removes a large element of stress from the day as travelling is one less thing to think about.

Morning Prep at Clock Barn

Emily spent most of the morning getting ready in ‘the stables’ with her bridal party before getting into her INCREDIBLE jumpsuit in ‘the hayloft’ with her mum where we could utilise the skylights for some gorgeous natural light.

Rory spent the morning with best man getting the last bits and pieces ready before the ceremony - although they were pleasantly surprised that they didn’t have to much to do because the venue’s team had everything in hand!

Ceremony in the main barn

The ceremony was held in the main barn area with the beautiful exposed beams and natural light from the surrounding windows. Emily’s dad acted as the celebrant (as they tied the knot in the previous week), making for an amazingly personal and meaningful service. During the ceremony they had thoughtful readings from family and friends and even got everyone involved with a sing song that was a great laugh and quite different from the hymns in churches i’m so accustomed to hearing!

Drinks Reception & Group Photos

After their confetti exit (and lots and lots of hugs and congratulations!), the drinks reception was held in the cosy barn whilst the main barn was turned around for the wedding breakfast.

We used this time to get the all important family and friends group shots - as always I love to keep these fairly informal and relaxed without many instructions beyond huddle together and smile, and once i’ve got the ‘nice’ one we can then do something more lighthearted!

We took the family shots just outside the main barn and ventured ever so slightly down the road to a very cool location for shots with the wedding party and stag/hen dooers!

Couple Photos around Clock Barn

After the group shots I whisked Emily & Rory away from their guests for 15 or so minutes to get some snaps of just the two of them around the venue. There are so many options for backdrops surrounding the barn and quiet roads.

Wedding Breakfast in the main barn

Following the drinks reception it was time for guests and the couple to take their seats back in the main barn for food and speeches. Having been treated to a meal by the bride and groom, I can vouch for the venues on-site caterers being absolutely top notch!

Party in the traditional barn

With dinner and the speeches finished, it wasn’t long before the party started and fun was well and truly had by all. It all started with an untraditional but well put together choreographed first dance which was was an awesome surprise and blow up instruments soon filled the dance floor.
